Whitney Bischoff graduated from the Black Hills State University with her B.S. in Psychology and her M.S. in Strategic Leadership. During her undergraduate experience, she was heavily involved in Residence Life and theatre. As part of her Master’s experience, she obtained a graduate assistantship with Student Engagement and Programming, working with student organizations and developing leadership curriculum. Following her graduation, Whitney held a variety of roles in higher education including Complex Director at BHSU, Professional Advisor at BHSU-RC, and most recently the Director of Student Success at Western Dakota Technical College.
Whitney has always been committed to providing resources and access to the students she serves, and she works hard to bring out the best in others through each interaction. “Oftentimes, people don’t see the potential they have or the impact that they have on those around them,” Whitney said. “I love connecting with others to help them realize their strengths and build relationships they may not have even known they needed.
“My own experience with mentors— both peer and positive adults—has changed my life, and I love that I have the opportunity to have this same impact on young adults and their support networks while also supporting the professionals who impact students every day.”
In her free time, Whitney enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading a good book, hiking with her husband and dogs, and finding any opportunity to laugh. She also has been known to LOVE Disney, alpacas, and friendly competition.
