Heidi Marttila-Losure

Director of Communications

Heidi guides Lost&Found’s marketing and public relations strategies in a part-time role, putting her 15 years of professional journalism and design experience to work for our resilience-focused organization.

Heidi grew up on a farm near Frederick, S.D., and graduated from Frederick High School. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and worked at daily newspapers in Asheville, N.C., and Ames, Iowa, before returning with her family to her home farm in 2008.

She co-founded Dakotafire Media in 2011. Since 2017, she’s been providing editing and graphic design services to clients across the country. In addition to running Dakotafire Media, Heidi is co-owner of Dakota Sisu Farm with her husband, David, and serves on several community boards. She is mother to two teenagers and enjoys capturing their and their teammates’ sports action shots.
