Genaveve Thomson, CHW

Genaveve graduated from Black Hills State University in May 2023 with a degree in Human Services. She is now attending the University of South Dakota to obtain a master’s in social work. Genaveve joined the Lost&Found program as a mentor in the Peer2Peer program on the BHSU campus and is excited to continue as a mentor. She is also the Survivors Joining for Hope Program Coordinator for Lost&Found. She supports survivors of suicide loss through resource support: emotional support, peer support, support groups, mental health counseling, Medicaid, housing/food resources, and other immediate needs.

Genaveve lives in Spearfish, SD, with her youngest son, her two dogs, and two cats. She enjoys caring for plants, playing cribbage, crocheting, reading, hiking, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
