Interim Development Director
Erik Muckey served in many roles at Lost&Found before his current role as Interim Development Director.
Muckey began his term as Executive Director of Lost&Found in 2018, but his presence in the organization has been felt for much longer. Erik helped form the original Board of Directors in 2010 and was responsible for leading and advising the founding chapter teams at the University of South Dakota and South Dakota State University. Erik uses this experience and passion to shape a new vision and structure for Lost&Found. Erik most recently served as the President of Lost&Found’s Board of Directors, taking over the reins in August 2014 from co-founder Dennis “DJ” Smith.
Erik was raised in Corsica, SD and is a graduate of the University of South Dakota (BBA in Economics, 2014) and the University of Minnesota (Master of Public Policy (MPP) / Master of Business Administration (MBA) / Certificate in Nonprofit Management (CNM), 2020). Erik is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Before joining Lost&Found as its Executive Director, Erik began his career in municipal government and financial services, serving in various financial analysis, consulting, project management, and strategy roles for the City of Sioux Falls, RGP, MetaBank, and Sunrise Banks.
Outside of Lost&Found, Erik is the founder and Managing Partner of PASQ, a professional services outsourcing and consulting firm for rural economic development agencies and serves as a board member or adviser to several social ventures spanning Minnesota and South Dakota. He lives in Sioux Falls.
