Education & Postvention Manager
Jordan is a certified Community Health Worker (CHW), Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Instructor, and Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) Instructor with a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Northwestern College, Iowa.
Recognizing the need for postvention care in her community, Jordan, with a nonprofit management and entrepreneurship background, led the expansion of Lost&Found’s postvention programming. Despite lacking formal experience in suicide prevention, Jordan has a passion for mental health and wellness that propelled her to dive headfirst into building the postvention department from the ground up while relying on the expertise and lived experience of those in the field. With a focus on coordinated community care, she has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing impactful programs for the organization. She is the driving force behind Survivors Joining for Hope, a direct service program offering financial and emotional assistance to individuals navigating the challenging aftermath of suicide loss, and the creator of two postvention guides, “Campus Postvention Best Practices Guide” and “Let’s Talk About Grief.” Jordan’s commitment to bridging the gap in postvention care is evident in her role, where she works to bring support to universities and communities experiencing suicide loss and provides education across the region, contributing to the overall mission of preventing future tragedies.
In her free time, she tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Her list of outdoorsy, active, and adventurous hobbies is long, but riding her motorcycle, traveling and hiking make the short list.
